As in any cuisine, Coorg food is influenced by
the geography (hills and forests), history
(shrouded in mystery) and culture (unique) of
its people.
Kodava weddings are unique and colourful. While most Indian weddings pay importance to rituals, Kodava weddings are shorn of too many rituals. A simple prayer to the ancestors and blessings by the elders are significant elements of their weddings.
“Coorg has given great Generals to the Indian
Army. It is noted for its choicest coffee and if I

India’s first Prime Minister.
